If you're anything like me you love autumn. You love the hues of the leaves when summer turns into fall, you get excited for bonfires, football games, everything pumpkin spiced, and the return of your favorite boots and cozy over-sized sweater.
But also if you're anything like me, fall is a subtle reminder that you're about to freeze your you know what off when winter takes over. Not to mention that you're pretty much over snow after Christmas and New Years are over. Unfortunately, the bitter cold weather will pay us a visit whether we like it or not. So, let's be prepared when it does.
Our insurance companies want us to be prepared for whatever winter throws our way. Here is a checklist of 5 tasks that you should think about accomplishing before the first snow. Or again, if you're anything like me, here's a checklist of 5 tasks that you should pay the neighbor kid to do for you.

2. Install an ice shield - you know, to prevent those ice dams.
3. Rake those leaves.
4. Trim those branches that could potentially fall on your roof, car or power lines.
5. Replace those screens with those storm windows.
